Returning to the Shanghai Symphony & Kunming Symphony

I am grateful to Maestro Yu Long for offering me my very first concerts after the Mahler Competition - three consecutive engagements with the China Philharmonic, Shanghai Symphony and Guangzhou Symphony in June 2016. Returning to the Shanghai Symphony is one of the highlights of my year. And also looking forward to reuniting with my colleagues from the Kunming Symphony - Music Director Huang Yi has done a great job building her up!

Kahchun is spending almost the whole month of December in China! After the tour with the Nuremberg Symphony concludes, he will perform with the Kunming Symphony on 15 December and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra (SSO) on 24 December, with a Brahms-centric programme. In Shanghai, he is especially looking forward to conducting Ding Shande's Piano Concerto with Louis Lortie, SSO's Artist-in-Residence 17/18.
